Book Review: Smut – Karina Halle

Book Review of Smut by Karina Halle

When I first met Blake Crawford, all I wanted to do was hit him in the face.
Maybe the groin.
Okay, maybe I wanted to kiss him too, but that’s neither here nor there. I mean, he may have a gorgeous English accent, sexy full lips and an ass I’d like to bite but…
Where was I?
Right.
Being in the same creative writing class, he’s the last person I wanted to speak to, let alone be paired up with for my final assignment.
But here comes the kicker…not only did our project end up getting us both As but we found out we work well together.
Really well together.
I hate him and he hates me and yet we churn out gold.
We’ve started writing self-published erotica under a pen name and let me tell you one thing…
Writing dirty sex scenes with the sexiest, most infuriating man you know is a lot harder than you think.
And keeping our hands off each other?
Well that’s another story…one with an ending I didn’t see coming.

“My idea of romance is a guy who will take me to see an Avengers film and doesn’t mind dressing up like Loki afterwards.”

Karina Halle

First of all, who doesn’t love an enemies to lovers romance?!

Amanda and Blake can’t stand one another. They’re not exactly thrilled to know they’ve been paired up for their final project of their creative writing class. However, they soon realize, they work really well together.

Amanda recently declined a mega proposal gaining a lot of rejection from her friends and family. She also needs to prove that writing is a respectable and profitable career. Blake on the other hand, has to help his dad save his bookshop.

Together they embark in a non conventional partnership, where they write erotica under a pen name.

This kind of turned into a problem. Can you imagine writing sexy stuff with the sexiest person alive? Although they still “hate” one another, they can’t resist each other. Let’s just say their writing came to life if you must…

Their hate soon turns into love. They realize they’re more alike than they thought and do really well together. This is all threatened though, when their secret business is revealed!
