He kept his salacious secret for years. But soon, everyone is going to be reading about it in their morning paper…

THE VARLET (and the VOYEUR)
William Moore is a long way from home. A farm boy from Oklahoma, he’s now the most well-respected member of the Irish rugby team. But appearances are often deceptive, and Will isn’t the clean-cut, all-American good-guy everyone imagines him to be. He’s got a secret, one that will tarnish his reputation forever.

THE VOYEUR (and the VARLET)
Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she’s finally get her shi…uh, act together. She’s set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there’s one teeny tiny road bump. Her living arrangements are coming to an abrupt end, leaving Josey homeless and in need of a job to pay her way through college.

THE PLAN
What he needs is a companion to keep him on the right path.
What she needs is an apartment with free rent.
Will is convinced Josey will make the perfect companion, since she’s brutally honest and basically ‘just one of the guys.’ Josey is convinced she can ensure Will doesn’t succumb to his voyeuristic proclivities by keeping a scrupulous eye on him.
Except, what happens when the varlet is tempted by the voyeur, and vice-versa?!
Perchance something very, very volatile. And vexing.

The Varlet and the Voyeur is a full-length romantic comedy novel, can be read as a standalone, and is the 4th (and last) book in the USA TODAY bestselling Rugby Series

So, it’s been a while since I  laughed so much while reading a book. You guys NEED to meet Josey…I mean she’s amazingly foolish and has the funniest stories to tell.

I don’t know if I liked this book so much because I can see myself in this character in particular (Yes, I have millioooooooooons of embarrassing stories to share, but hey! Funniest girls are the prettiest girls, right?)  For instance, just today, I went for my morning run really excited since I’ve started to really improve my game…nevertheless…I’m only going to share that three HUMONGOUS dogs decided to run after me and I had to totally change my running route in order to not get eaten alive by those three beasts who were flashing their teeth as if they were freaking Dracula. Please consider that this happened at 6:20 AM where there was no one who could help or defend me in this weird scenario…wait, there was actually someone who drove by on a pick-up truck who decided to laugh at my whole situation instead of helping me, so there’s that. At least I made someone smile.

Coming back to our review… I simply adore Will! Such a gentleman but at the same time super-duper hot (Perfect package)! He’s the complete opposite of Josey. Whilst she’s the loudest person ever, he’s a man of few words that loves to read and lives happily a quiet life. However, let’s just say that Will is not as perfect as we might think (depends who you’re asking though). Our Will has a thing with Voyeurism and being a sports celebrity and all (just imagine all the abs…) someone in the press got hold of this tiny information and completely twisted the story around by saying he actually hired prostitutes to watch them having sex with each other. Although he did like to watch people doing it that was not the way he did at all. His teammates decided to brainstorm ideas along with him, in order for him not to feel the need to watch couples again. He decided that he needed a new roommate to check on him so that he would not be distracted. So, it happens that Josey was just “kicked out” of her house and needed a place to stay and a job. Babysitting a handsome rugby player didn’t seem so hard, so of course Josey decided to take the job!

What I personally loved about this story is how light and funny it is! Even when they were kind of breaking up it was so funny…definitely a must read when you’re going to the beach. I really loved how they didn’t spend like 5 chapters describing their breakup and suicidal heartbreak like most authors do. It was actually pretty amusing and short so you don’t have to be afraid of unexpected tears with this one. I don’t know about you guys but I’m also a sucker for stories set up in the UK or Ireland. It’s like the humor and cussing at are a whole other level.

When it comes to what I think the authors could improve about this story, I would probably suggest to expand more on Will’s family dynamics. All we know is that he grew up in a farm in Oklahoma, that his mother died and he had few brothers, even one with a medical condition and another who passed away. Seeing how amazing Will is in this story, got me wanting to experience present interactions with his family and how his success and his new relationship with Josey affected this.

All the same, I really invite you guys to give this a chance and if you’ve read any books from this series let me know which one you liked best!
